    Are you planning to rent a BMW motorcycle and want to know exactly how it works?

    In this video, we’ll walk you through the rules for renting BMW Motorrad Dobrzański motorcycles step by step—clearly, concisely, and without any ambiguity.

    Everything You Need to Know About Renting Motorcycles

    at BMW Motorrad Dobrzański

    For how long can I rent a motorcycle?

    You can rent a motorcycle for any period of time, subject to the price list and availability. The minimum rental period is 1 day, and there is no maximum. The rental period is specified in the contract. It can be negotiated with prior agreement and approval from a rental advisor.

    What documents are required to rent a motorcycle?

    All you need is a valid form of identification (ID card or passport) and a driver’s license of the appropriate category that authorizes you to ride a motorcycle in Poland.

    What are the rental shop’s hours of operation?

    Our BMW Motorrad Dobrzański rental shop, located at 45 Jana Pawła II Avenue in Kraków, is open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. On Saturdays, our hours are shorter, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

    Outside these hours, picking up or returning a motorcycle is possible only by prior arrangement and for an additional fee of 1,000 PLN.

    How much does it cost to rent?

    The rental price depends on the motorcycle model and the duration of the rental. You can find the current price list in our offer or get it from a rental advisor.

    A refundable deposit is also required at the time of rental to cover any potential damage or breaches of the rental agreement. The deposit is fully refunded at the end of the rental period if the motorcycle is returned in the condition specified in the agreement.

    In the event of a violation of the rental terms—such as a late return, returning a dirty motorcycle, or other unmet obligations—additional costs or fees specified in the contract may be deducted from the security deposit.

    Can I extend the rental period?

    Yes, it is possible to extend your rental if the motorcycle is available during your desired dates. In that case, please contact a rental advisor in advance, who will confirm availability and provide details regarding the extension, including any additional fees.

    Please keep in mind that an extension may also require an adjustment to the security deposit or the inclusion of additional costs in the event of a breach of the rental agreement, to ensure everything remains in order for both you and us.

    Is the motorcycle ready to ride as soon as I pick it up?

    Yes. The motorcycle has a full tank of gas, is in good working order, and has been prepared in accordance with the manufacturer’s requirements.

    Is the motorcycle insured?

    Yes, all of our motorcycles come with mandatory liability and comprehensive insurance. This allows you to ride with peace of mind, knowing that the basic risks are covered.

    However, it’s important to remember that the person renting the motorcycle is responsible for any damage to or loss of the motorcycle that isn’t covered by the insurance. A rental advisor can provide detailed information regarding coverage and insurance limits.

    Do I need to have my own helmet and uniform?

    Yes, you are required to have your own helmet and protective gear. If you don’t have your own gear yet, you can choose something from our selection of motorcycle clothing and accessories—helmets, suits, boots, and gloves—to ensure that every ride is not only safe but also comfortable.

    Who can rent a motorcycle?s

    Any adult with a valid ID card (or passport) and a driver’s license of the appropriate category that allows them to ride a motorcycle in Poland can rent a motorcycle from our rental company.

    What are you not allowed to do with a rented motorcycle?

    To ensure that the rental proceeds in accordance with the contract, guarantees the safety of the person using the motorcycle, and allows for its proper and safe use, it is important to keep the following rules in mind:

    → Do not participate in rallies, races, or competitions;
    → Do not transport animals;
    → Do not transport people under the influence of alcohol or drugs;
    → Do not transport items that may soil, damage, or cause the motorcycle to malfunction;
    → Do not repair or modify the motorcycle on your own;
    → Do not exceed the maximum load capacity;
    → Do not tow other vehicles or be towed;
    → Do not leave the motorcycle in places where it is vulnerable to damage or theft;
    → Do not operate the motorcycle in a manner that causes excessive wear on parts or tires;
    → Do not ride off paved roads;
    → Do not use the motorcycle for work or business purposes;
    → Do not use the motorcycle in a manner that violates the terms of your insurance policy;
    → Do not violate traffic laws or the instructions in the owner’s manual.

    Following these rules not only protects you but also ensures that the motorcycle will be returned in excellent condition, ready for your next adventure.

    Can I rent additional accessories (suitcases, bags, a GPS)?

    Yes, you can rent additional accessories, such as saddlebags, bags, or a navigation system, for an extra fee.

    → Saddlebag – 100 zł/day
    → 40–50 L bag – 50 zł/day
    → BMW navigation system – 100 zł/day.

    This allows you to better tailor the motorcycle to your needs—whether for a short trip or a longer journey. A rental advisor will provide all the details regarding availability, costs, and terms of use for the accessories and will help you choose the best solution for you.

    Can I return the motorcycle to a location other than where I picked it up?

    The motorcycle must be returned at the location and by the date specified in the contract—most often, this is the rental company’s address: BMW Motorrad Dobrzański at 45 Jana Pawła II Avenue in Kraków.

    In what condition should the motorcycle be returned?

    The motorcycle should be returned in the same condition as when it was picked up—with a full tank of gas, in good working order, and clean. Otherwise, additional fees may apply.

    Where can I ride a rental motorcycle?

    The standard coverage of our motorcycle rental service is limited to Poland. Any trip abroad requires our prior approval and must be specified in the rental agreement. We want to ensure that your trip is safe and that the motorcycle is prepared in accordance with regulations and insurance requirements.

    How do you take care of a rented motorcycle?

    While using the motorcycle, make sure to take care of the basics: check the fuel, oil, and other fluid levels, clean the motorcycle regularly, and lubricate the chain. This will keep the motorcycle in excellent condition and help you avoid additional charges. Remember—it’s essential to return the motorcycle in the same condition as when you picked it up.

    Why is a security deposit collected, and when will it be refunded?

    The security deposit serves as protection for the rental company in case of damage, missing fuel, or other additional charges. If the motorcycle is returned in the same condition as when you picked it up, the security deposit will be refunded to you within 7 days. Otherwise, amounts covering any repairs or charges will be deducted.

    What should you do in the event of a breakdown or accident?

    If a breakdown occurs, or if you suspect one, or if there is an accident, contact us immediately so we can help and advise you on the next steps. In the event of a traffic accident, also call the police and follow your insurer’s instructions—your safety and that of other road users is the top priority.

    Can I cancel my reservation?

    Yes, you have the right to cancel your reservation within 14 days of making it. Keep in mind, however, that if you do not sign the lease agreement by the agreed-upon deadline, your right to cancel expires.

    Can I buy a motorcycle from a rental company?

    If you’re interested in a motorcycle that was previously available for rent, we have many purchase options. Let us know that you’d like to buy it, and together we’ll find the right solution.
